Yaa Afriyie Afful
One of Ghana’s celebrated actresses, Yaa Afriyie Afful is the newest to join the league of screen divas, who have moved from being actresses to producers.
The actress has wrapped the shoot of her movie titled, ‘Born Again’. The movie, described as intriguing, suspense-filled and comic, is produced by Yaa Afriyie Afful and directed by Cliff Hanger.
The movie is set to be released in a matter of weeks but the producer could not confirm the exact date of release.
The new movie is expected to make a greater impact than any other movie on the scene, according to the producer, Yaa Afriyie Afful.
Currently, Yaa Afful and the director are in the studio working sleeplessly on the movie, which she described will be groundbreaking.
The producer disclosed that the movie was shot in some locations in Accra, Kumasi and Cape Coast.
Yaa Afriyie simply summarized the movie as a simple challenge to Hollywood and Africa.
In addition to the movie production, Yaa Afriyie will soon launch her foundation called Yaa Afriyie Afful Foundation to cater for the needy in the society.
According to her, the launch ceremony will take place at the premises Skybiz Productions in Accra and it is expected attract a number of personalities, members of the foundation’s advisory board, among others.
She mentioned that she will use the launch to outdoor the brand ambassador for the foundation.
She disclosed that very soon the foundation would embark on a new project, the Yaa Afriyie Afful Foundation’s Quality Education Project.
The aim of the project, according to her, is to provide children living in deprived communities with learning materials and resources which will enhance their aptitude in education.
