Asadullah with Yaw Amoateng and graduands in Tamale
NIIT Tamale branch has held its graduation for about forty-four (44) students in Tamale in the Northern Region.
The students went through various courses including Business, Software, Networking, Web-Designing and other IT-related courses.
NIIT-Ghana is operating in forty (40) countries around the world, and in Ghana it has trained nearly one million people.
The Country Director of NIIT-Ghana, Mr. Yaw Amoateng, said ICT is a key driver to development in today’s global environment, for which reason the training programme was brought to Tamale.
According to him, the knowledge acquired by the graduands should be a foundation to start thinking of doing something for themselves than waiting for government to create job opportunities for them.
He urged the graduands to find what makes them unique and perfect it to become one of the best IT personalities in the world someday.
The Northern Regional Director of Education, Alhaji Mohammed Haron, said globalization comes with job creation and urged the graduands to be inventors and innovators in Ghana.
He said IT is the way of globalizing the world these days and that the graduands will play a significant role in the ICT department of the Ghana Education Service since that department lacks teachers.
Alhaji Mohammed Haron advised them to establish their own businesses which would go a long way to create job opportunities for others.
Addressing the graduands, the Tamale branch Manager of NIIT-Ghana, Mr. Asadullah, said this was the beginning of life outside the school and entreated them to have the fighting spirit and self-discipline to achieve greatness in their future endeavours.
