A scene during the donation
Gospel artiste Doris Gyamo and her brother David Ahinful have donated items worth thousands of Ghana cedis to the Eye of The Lord Orphanage at Otoase, near Nsawam in the Eastern Region.
Items donated include clothing and shoes for children, towels, books, cosmetics, cooking utensils, foodstuffs, among other items.
Presenting the items to the management of the orphanage, Doris Gyamo stated that the donation formed part of their social responsibility to put smiles on the faces of the less privileged.
According to her, they were moved by the plight of the children when they had the opportunity to visit the orphanage.
She added that the donation was their widow’s mite of helping bring comfort to the needy who are sometimes abandoned by their families.
The gospel artiste promised that more of such donations would be made to the orphanage in the future.
The items were received by the founder of the orphanage, Samuel Darko Kwapong, who thanked the gospel artiste and her brother for their kind gesture.
