This year’s edition of Ghana’s biggest food festival— KenkeyFest— has been launched in Accra.
The media launch was attended by a section of the media, sponsors of the event and some of the exhibitors.
Mustapha Nii Okai Inusah, known also as Nii Attractive Mustapha, communications director of the organisers, said this year’s edition will be different from last year’s.
“We have a complete new package for Ghanaians this year which promises to be entertaining than previous editions,” he indicated.
According to him, this year’s KenkeyFest will take place at the Mantse Agbonaa, Jamestown near the monumental Lighthouse building on March 9, 2019.
He also announced the launch of the ‘Kenkey League’, in collaboration with Let’s Cook GH, which will take place on January 25 to February 25.
The ‘Kenkey League’ will see 32 people compete to determine who garnishes a meal of kenkey better.
The two finalists will engage in a cooking and garnishing contest on the final day at the event grounds.
“This is one of the entertaining packages we have and we encourage Ghanaians to partake in the competition,” Nii Okai Inusah stated.
