Youth and Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah took time off his busy schedule (Regional Multipurpose Sports Inspection) to visit the Paga Crocodile Pond.
The Minister after inspecting the Navrongo Sports Centre of Excellence together with the regional officials of the National Youth Authority (NYA) visited the site.
The renowned Pond, a potential tourism site, appeared to be in a bad state at the time of the visit on Wednesday.
The Minister, saddened by what he had seen, suggested an upgrade of the facility to boost tourism.
But indications were that the local folks have thwarted efforts of the Assembly in its several attempts to give the facility a phase lift.
