Legendary highlife musician Pat Thomas and his Pat Thomas International Band are set to thrill music fans as part of a United States concert later this year.
He will be performing at a series of concerts at the Bismarck, North Dakota, from June to August 2019.
The shows are being promoted by Isaac Afoakwa, CEO of Youth In Action, who has promised music followers a lot of side attractions.
The man who has been described as the ‘golden voice of Africa’ has a career spanning over five decades.
He is known for many songs, including his most popular ‘Sika Ye Mogya’ hit song.
Thomas’ early quest to become a singer was inspired by a vocalist by name Joss Aikins. But he started his musical career in 1960s when he collaborated with Ebo Taylor. He has since churned out a lot of albums to his credit.
In June 2015, he released the album ‘Pat Thomas & Kwashibu Area Band’ to mark 50 years of his musical career.
Together with his band, he is expected to entertain fans with materials from his long career.
The concert is an amazing opportunity to catch a living master of African highlife to do his thing on stage.
