Heated races are expected in the GNPC Ghana’s Fastest Human 100 meter event at the Legon Stadium tomorrow.
The precursor to the main event is expected to churn out fireworks as athletes battle for honours.
According to the organisers, athletes are to report by 8:00am, and the event will start from noon to 5:00pm.
So far, 197 have qualified from other regions awaiting winners of the Legon meet who will battle for supremacy in the national final on September 7.
Later, four athletes will be selected for an all-expenses-paid sponsorship package into the GNPC Speedster Club.
Expected to grace the event is GCB Managing Director Anselm Ray Sowah.
The Founder of GNPC Ghana’s Fastest Human, Reks Brooby, said, “Because it’s the last 100 meter open event before the September 7, final sprinters are coming in from the Eastern, Volta and Greater Accra regions.
“We are set as organisers, logistics wise, athletes have demonstrated readiness at their training sessions, so l have no doubts that the best form of races is expected.”
At stake are trophies, medals and special souvenirs from sponsors to athletes who will excel.
The event is being sponsored by GNPC, Moringa King, Adidas, GCB, Indomie Instant Noodles, Wrenco Printing, Kriate Lync Advertising Company and Global Media Alliance.
