The Africa Centre for Security and Intelligence Studies (ACSIS) has called for the protection of South African citizens and businesses in Ghana in the wake of reprisal xenophobic attacks.
Some Nigerians and Zambians have attacked South African businesses like MTN and Pick N Pay in revenge of xenophobic attacks on African nationals in South Africa.
A number of foreign businesses and shops have reportedly been looted in SA in the wake of the renewed attacks since Thursday, August 29, 2019.
But ACSIS in a statement dated September 4, 2019, appealed to Ghana security agencies to beef up security for all South African businesses and citizens.
