The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that the District Assemblies and Unit Committee Elections will be held on December 17, 2019.
Accordingly, the Commission says it is accepting nominations from prospective candidates for election as member of District Assemblies and Unit Committees.
In a statement signed by its Chairperson, Jean Mensa, the Commission said nominations will be received in all electoral areas in each district from Monday 7th to Friday 11th October 2019 between 9:00am and 2:00pm to 5:00pm each day.
All potential candidates shall be nominated on the official nomination form of the EC available at the electoral area, the statement noted.
