The Royalhouse Chapel International will be continuing its services online despite the partial lifting of the ban on social gatherings including church activities.
The Church in a release signed by its Director of Administration, Rev. Dzifa Gakpleazi, maintained that following the partial lifting of the ban on church services, by President Akufo-Addo and the subsequent guidelines by the Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, “All Royalhouse Chapel Churches are hereby informed that Churches (inclusive of the headquarters, Ahenfie) are to remain closed for regular/normal in-person church services.”
It said services shall continue to be aired virtually via live broadcast from the headquarters through Powerline Television, Facebook, YouTube and advertised radio stations.
Rev. Gakpleazi said the leadership shall monitor, study and evaluate the implementation of the presidential directives for a final decision to be made.
“Further directives in that regard would be communicated in due course. All Royalhouse churches and congregants are therefore to take note and comply accordingly,” the release said.
President Nana Akufo-Addo, it would be recalled, on Sunday, May 31, announced that religious activities can resume from June 5, 2020, which marks the beginning of the stage one of coronavirus easing.
Also, the Minister of Religious Affairs, Kofi Dzamesi, during an engagement with the media on Monday, June 1, 2020, at the Information Ministry, outlined some 22 guidelines for religious to follow as they resume worship.
Among the guidelines are compulsory wearing of face masks, no handshake, no hugging, not allowing more than 100 worshippers for one service, and displaying educative materials on the prevention of coronavirus.
