Amakye Dede Pays Tribute To The Late Nana Tuffour

Celebrated highlife musician, Abrantie Amakye Dede, has paid glowing tribute to the memory of the late Nana Tuffour, 66-year-old veteran highlife musician, who passed away on Monday morning, June 15, after a short illness.

Amakye Dede described the late musician as an honourable and principled person, whose demise would create a vacuum in the music industry.

Accoridng to him, Nana Tuffour’s death is a big blow to the Ghanaian music industry, adding that it will be difficult for the industry players to get a replacement.

In an interview with BEATWAVE, Amakye Dede, who is downhearted about the death of his friend, said “I was shocked when I heard that Nana Tuffour had passed away. He did a lot for the music industry as well as some of the stakeholders in the industry. He was such a great and nice person.”

“A cool, calm, soft spoken and gentle person endowed with so much wisdom; he shall always be remembered for his great contribution to the music industry,” he added.

Asked about how Nana Tuffour’s death would impact the music industry, the veteran musician said, “His absence would bring much gap in our music business because Nana was very influential on the music scene…”

“Nana, the vacuum you have created will be difficult to fill. We believe that you are resting in the bosom of the Almighty God who created heaven and earth. May your soul rest in perfect peace,” Amakye Dede said.
