At least six persons have been confirmed dead in a building collapse in Lagos, Nigeria.
Some 15 others have been injured as a result of the building collapse.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), has stated that three-storey building, located at Obalende area of the state collapsed around 5:40 pm on Sunday, October 11, 2020.
Spokesman of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Nosa Okunbor, who confirmed the incident, said the cause of the collapse was unknown.
According to Okunbor, upon arrival at the scene, a three-storey building under construction was discovered to have self-collapsed.
“The cause of the collapse is yet to be ascertained, but efforts are presently ongoing by LASEMA and other responders towards salvaging the situation.”
