Michael Ofori Baafi filing his nomination papersĀ
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), Michael Okyere Baafi, has filed his papers to contest the New Juaben South Constituency on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to the GFZA CEO who filed his nomination forms at the New Juaben South Electoral Commissionās office over the weekend, President Akufo-Addoās track record in less than four years supersedes that of the NDCās tenure.
He has embarked upon a house-to-house campaign module in a constituency, which is poised to deliver over 70,000 votes for the President.
Mr. Okyere Baafi was accompanied during his trip to the ECās office by a large crowd of NPP faithful.
“As a politician when you say you will construct roads, you must honour it. When you promise scholarship, you must do it, when you say you will construct a hospital at Zongos, you must do it so the people can benefit,ā he explained.
The 2020 New Juaben South parliamentary candidate noted that he is convinced that the Presidentās track record of performance will earn him a second term to do more for Ghanaians.
Mr. Okyere Baafi said President Akufo-Addo is a man of honour and integrity who delivers on his promise, adding that politics and governance must be an avenue to alleviate the plight of the people.
He added that Koforidua is going to see a different era of governance before during and after this yearās election.
The GFZA CEO indicated that his team intends to pursue an ā11-point agendaā in Koforidua to develop the city; a key component of which he added is job creation.
He also organised a free medical screening for traders in and around the Juaben Serwaa Market soon after filing his papers.
