The Essikado-Ketan Constituency branch of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has cautioned the Parliamentary Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the just-ended election, Grace Ayensu-Danquah, to stop peddling lies about the NPP and its Parliamentary Candidate and MP-elect for Essikado-Ketan, Joe Ghartey.
Dr. Ayensu-Danquah had alleged that Hon. Ghartey used thugs to terrorize her team at the collation center.
Speaking exclusively in an interview with the host of Atinka FM’s AM Drive Ekourba Gyasi, Dr. Grace Ayensu Dankwa alleged that she was prevented from entering the collation center which was heavily guarded by militiamen brought in by Hon. Ghartey.
She added that she had in possession her collated results from some polling stations where allegations of rigging in favour of Joe Ghartey went on.
“The men who were masked and were carrying guns, pepper spray, cutlasses, among others terrorized me and my men and prevented me from entering the collation center,” she alleged.
But in a statement signed by its Secretary, Thomas Amoah, the Essikado-Ketan Constituency of the NPP said there was no element of truth in the claims made by Dr. Ayensu-Danquah.
According to Essikado-Ketan Constituency NPP in the statement, “This woman (Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah) is a pathological liar and needs deliverance. We challenge her to prove her allegations.”
The NPP said she rather “led knife bearing gangsters and hoodlums to the Collation Centre with the sole aim of taking it over. Raining insults on everyone in sight, Grace Ayensu Danquah and her gangsters sought to storm the Center and were repelled by the Police and Army.”
” Even though Lying Grace is lying as usual she should take her pink sheets to Court to prove her case and stop lying and wasting everyone’s time,” the ruling party said.

Rigging where? Every polling station was counted in the clear view of the public and declared in the full view of the public by the Presiding Officer and acknowledged by all parties.
No polling station witnessed any incident.

Essikado Ketan NPP has no thugs, no guns or pepper spray or any other implements. We have God, the voters and our evidence and we are waiting for you.
