Lamie
Lamie, an exuberant Afrobeats artiste, who is on the verge of becoming a household name, has released her highly anticipated single Aye.
Aye is a Yoruba word which means life. In this song, the Ghanaian songstress sheds light on the struggles young Africans go through in order to make a living.
Her soothing vocals and blend of different African languages make the song very pleasing to the ear. Lamie has released two exciting singles this year prior Aye.
According to Lamie, the song is a potential lead single for her upcoming EP. The song is produced by Deelawbeatz, one of Ghana’s fast rising young producers.
In the first quarter of last year, she was due to do collaborations and media tour in South Africa, but that never materialised due to COVID-19.
However, that didn’t kill her dreams as she was rather motivated to work harder and later inked a deal with TMC Music Group, under which she released the afro-folk socio-political anthem, Aye. The song indeed highlights wishes, prayers and aspirations of any regular human being. Its video is set to be out soon.
