Indian Envoy Lauds Napo Impact

THE INDIAN High Commissioner, His Excellency Sugandh Rajaram, has described outgoing minister of Education, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh aka ‘Napo’ as an asset for the country.

According to him, Napo, who is the Energy Minister-designate, has over the years, played significant roles towards the effective transformation of Ghana.

“Here, I would like to acknowledge the indelible impression that you have created through your significant efforts for the rise of Ghana,” he said in a letter to Napo.

 

Congratulatory Message

Mr. Rajaram congratulated Napo, who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Manhyia South, on his nomination as Energy Minister-designate.

He was of the view that Napo’s recent appointment clearly showed that indeed he was very important to the President Nana Akufo-Addo-led NPP administration.

“Please accept my healthiest congratulations on your imminent appointment as Energy Minister. This truly shows the deep trust by the leadership,” the Indian Envoy stated.

 

Ghana Indian Relations

The High Commissioner also hailed the Energy Minister-designate his visionary leadership and the roles he had played in deepening the bond between Ghana and India.

He expressed hope that Ghana and India would continue to work together, going forward, so that citizens of the two sister countries would be the eventual beneficiaries.

“Your individual contribution and vision for long-lasting growth and development will go a long way in fortifying the bond between our two countries and its people,” he said.

 

Ghana, India Dialogue

He announced the launching of the Ghana-India Dialogue in Accra on January 26, 2021, and invited Napo to grace the historic event.

“The India-Ghana Dialogue would focus on issues of bilateral and global concern and would include policy makers, think-tanks, civil society leaders, academicians and media leaders,” he indicated.

The Indian Envoy said, “I would like to once again, take this opportunity to congratulate you”, adding that he was looking forward to work with Napo for the mutual benefit of the two countries.
