President, CJ Joins Chocolate Consumption Campaign

President Nana Akufo-Addo and a number of prominent persons in Ghana are joining the national campaign to promote the consumption of chocolate made in Ghana.

Information Minister-designate, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Chief Justice (CJ), Justice Kwasi Anim Yeboah, Minister-designate for food and agriculture, Dr Owusu Akoto Afriyie, have all released short videos campaigning for chocolate consumption.

Members of Parliament are also expected to join the campaign as Ghana celebrates its National Chocolate Week 2021.

Director of Corporate Affairs of Ghana Cocoa Board, Fiifi Boafo, briefing the media on Tuesday, February 9, about the National Chocolate Week, encouraged Ghanaians to consume chocolate.

He said there was the need to promote value addition of Ghana’s raw cocoa beans in order to maximize the revenue the country’s gains from its cocoa.
