Asante Kotoko on Saturday progressed to the round of 16 in the FA Cup competition.
The Porcupine Warriors posted a 3-1 win over lower tier side Thunderbolt FC at the Okese Park in Ejisu.
Kotoko opened the scoring in the early stages through Evans Adomako, who headed home a Sarfo Taylor pass.
The Division Two side pulled even through midfielder Philemon Kyei few minutes after the opener, also through a header.
Thunderbolt doubled their efforts after the equaliser but Mariano Barreto’s men were resolute at the rear.
The Porcupine Warriors doubled their lead through Adomako, making it his second.
Skipper Emmanuel Gyamfi cushioned his side’s lead when he tapped home a Fabio Gama cross from a close range.
