Captain Ganiu celebrate after giving Kotoko the lead
Asante Kotoko returned to the Baba Yara Stadium in style when they struck two times against Bechem United yesterday.
The two late goals – courtesy Abdul Ganiyu, from the spot and Samuel Boateng were enough to send the Porcupine Warriors to the top.
It was Kotoko, who were playing at their fortress for the first time in two years second streak win after beginning their campaign on a good footing.
The Porcupine Warriors boss maintained the starting line up that defeated Dreams FC on opening day while Bechem United made one change in their squad that annihilated Medeama at home.
The visitors also on many occasions tried to hit the back of the net but goalkeeper Razak Abalora’s interventions were timely.
