The December edition of the monthly musical jam dubbed ‘Dance Da Nite’ will take place on December 24 at the Alisa Hotel (Swiss Spirit) in Accra, the organisers have announced.
Being organised by Oceans TV in collaboration with the management of Alisa Hotel, the event forms part of activities lined up to entertain patrons of old school music this Christmas.
The ‘Dance Da Night’ which was suspended due to Covid-19 pandemic is held last Friday of every month and is the perfect place for workers and old school music lovers to entertain themselves after a stressful month of city life in a secure and relaxed ambiance.
The much-anticipated event is expected to bring together a large number of matured old school music lovers on one platform to reminisce about their days in school.
It would also give patrons the opportunity to meet and interact with their favourite old school disc jockeys (DJs) and celebrities.
Some selected old school DJs, who are professional DJs with over two decades experience in the music business, have been invited to thrill old school music fans and stakeholders in the music industry who will attend the event with various old school songs.
The organisers have also promised fans a day to remember as they and sponsors of the event will give away several exciting gifts and souvenirs.
This event will surely feel like having a long weekend once you make time for yourself to attend the ‘Dance Da Nite’ which will entertain fans with songs of the 70s, 80s and 90s.
‘Dance Da Nite’ has been the only party, which bring old school lovers back to the golden era of the 70s, 80s and 90s through classic music, dance, fashion and unadulterated entertainment.
On the night, old school music lovers will enjoy several classic tunes such as Marcia Griffiths – ‘Electric Boogie’, Shalamar – ‘Friends’, T-Connection – ‘Party Night’, Raphael Cameroun – ‘For The Love of You’, Madonna – ‘Holiday’, Diana Ross – ‘Upside Down’, Anita Baker – ‘Ring My Bell’, Rick James – ‘Give To Me’ MC Lyte – ‘Cold Rock A Party’, Eddie Grant – ‘Give Me Hope’, Mary J. Blige – ‘Family Affairs’, Kool & The Gang – ‘Celebration’ among others.
Previous events have witnessed live performances from celebrated old school DJs such as Billy Ocean, DJ Candy Man, DJ Andy Dosty, DJ Young Joe of Skyy Hawks fame, DJ Killer Fingers among others.
