The Deputy Director in charge of Monitoring and Inspection Unit of the Ghana Police Service, Assistant Commisioner of Police (ACP) Lydia Yaako Donkor has been assigned
to head the Police Intelligence and Professional Standards (PIPS) Bureau.
She takes over the department from Commissioner of Police (COP) Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah who has been released to the Presidency by the Inspector General of Police for onward appointment.
ACP Donkor was in charge of Legal and Prosecutions, Accra Regional Police Command.
ACP Donkor, a lawyer with over 15years of experience in policing, loves sports making her the Chairperson for the Police Ladies Football Club, one of the budding female Football clubs in Ghana.
She joined the Service as a lawyer and holds a Master of Law (LLM) from the University of Leeds and a qualifying degree from the Ghana school of law.
She had a second cycle education at Wesley Girls High School, Cape Coast and also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in law and political science, from the University of Ghana, Legon.
