Talented female afrobeat singer, Jackline Acheampong, known in the showbiz scene as Gyakie, says her next music project to be released this year is going to take her places.
The fast rising artiste, who recently made it to the top ten most streamed female afrobeat artistes in Africa on the Pandora music chart, took to Twitter to announce her upcoming extend play (EP), which according to her will take over the world.
Noted for hit songs like ‘Forever’, ‘Joy & Happiness’ (Intro), ‘Whine’, ‘Vacation’, and ‘The Journey’ among others, she assured her fans that she will surely make an impact with her yet to be released EP on the world music scene.
Gyakie, who is regarded as the next big female act to come out of Ghana with her talent making way for her onto the global music market, released her first single ‘Love is Pretty’ in 2019.
The daughter of Ghanaian highlife legend Ernest ‘Owoahene’ Nana Acheampong, Gyakie won the Emerging Woman of the Year award at the 3 Music Women’s Brunch show held on March 8, 2021.
She is also a recipient of several accolades including Best Female MVCP Viewer’s Choice Awards 2021 and the African Artiste of the Year at the Sound City MVCP Awards 2020 among others.
Her rise to fame has not come as a surprise to anyone as she is adored by all and sundry. She was named the most streamed Ghanaian artiste in Nigeria in 2021.
In July last year, Gyakie staged a live musical performance to entertain music fans in Tanzania.
The event, which brought together thousands of fans in and around Tanzania on one platform, also witnessed historic live performances from some selected acts such as Lapidoe, Focalistic, Blaq Diamond and a host of others.
