GOVERNMENT HAS announced plans to seek a strategic partner to inject capital into the operations of some plush state-owned hotels across the country.
The government, through Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), is seeking strategic partners through International Competitive Tendering (ICT) in the following state-owned hotels – Labadi Beach Hotel, La-Palm Beach Resort in the Greater Accra Region, Elmina Beach, and Ridge Royal Hotel in the Central Region.
Others are Busua Resort and Trust Lodge in the Western Region.
SSNIT, in an advertiser’s announcement published on Monday, February 7, 2022, noted that its objective is to develop its owned hotels into world-class standards in their respective categories and, therefore, seek capital injection from a competent strategic investor with expertise in owning and managing hotels and/or development of real estate to finance these developments.
SSNIT will not be involved in injecting extra capital.
