GOLDSTAR AIR, a wholly-owned Ghanaian airline, has been adjudged the Most Promising Airline Company of the Year at the Gome Awards ’21 for the second time.
The awards, which took place Friday at the Accra Metropolitan Snap Hall in Accra, aimed at promoting, empowering and recognising great personalities and corporate bodies working together for the development and betterment of Ghana.
Chief Executive Officer of Goldstar Air, Eric Bannerman, said “…. this award will undoubtedly spur us on to work even harder to continuously be an industry player to make Ghana an aviation hub.”
In 2020, Crystal Galaxy College honored Goldstar Air for being a force to reckon with in the aviation sector and a mentor for its students.
Citation in honor of Goldstar Air read that “Citation in honor of Goldstar Air, may your status remain as a champion in the Aviation sector and a mentor for our students.”
Goldstar Air is ambitious of providing scheduled and non-scheduled passenger air service initially to twelve (12) destinations worldwide, namely, London, Dubai, Baltimore Washington International, Guangzhou, Providence International Airport, Lagos, Abidjan, Monrovia, Freetown, Conakry, Banjul and Dakar. Direct non-stop services will be deployed where necessary.
The airline will fly one of the world’s youngest fleets, featuring the world’s most technologically advanced and environmentally friendly aircrafts, and projecting a fleet of more than 100 modern aircrafts to more than 90 key business and leisure destinations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, the Caribbean, and North America.
