The National Council of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has slated the party’s 2022 National Annual Delegates Conference to elect National Executive Officers of the Party, between July 15 to July 17, 2022 across the country.
The National Annual Delegates Conference shall be held at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Opening and Closing of Nominations has been scheduled between Wednesday June 8– Friday June 12, 2022 by the National Elections Committee, according to rules and regulations for the conduct of the National Executive Elections issued by John Boadu, Genneral Secretary of NPP
Similarly, filing of Nomination must be done – June 13 to June 15, 2022 to be proceeded by vetting of aspirants on June 17 to June 20, 2022, before release of Vetting Report on June 22, 2022 and Hearing of Appeals (if any) between June 24 to June 25, 2022 by National Appeals Committee.
Nomination forms shall be purchased by prospective Candidates or their representatives, from the National Elections Committee, at the NPP Headquarters.
All election-related processes shall be organized and superintended over by a 9-member National Elections Committee, constituted as follows Peter Manu (Chairman), Evans Nimako (Secretary), Amb. Edward Boateng, Mawusi Nudekor Awity, Amin Anta, Alhaji Bismi Hussain, Kwesi Abease, Oboshie Sai Coffie, Gary Nimako, Eric Ntori and Emmanuel Darkwa
Meanwhile, the National Elections shall be supervised by the Electoral Commission of Ghana pursuant to Section17(2) of the Political Parties Law, Act 574, which provides that the election of National, Regional and Constituency Officers of every political party shall be conducted under the supervision of the Electoral Commission.
