The entire Bibiani -Ahwiaso-Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region has been thrown into a state of mourning following the passing of the area’s Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Alfred Amoah.
Reports reaching DAILY GUIDE indicate that the MCE met his untimely death in a fatal accident on the Kumasi – Accra Highway on Tuesday evening.
According to sources, the MCE passed away together With His driver around 6:45 pm on that fateful day when returning from a meeting in Accra.
DAILY GUIDE learned that the sad incident happened when three vehicles including that of the MCE crashed around Anyinasin on the highway and the two purportedly died on the spot.
The vehicles involved were a fuel Tanker with registration number, GN – 8549 – X; a trailer also with the registration number, AS 4229 – X, and the DCE’s Nissan Patrol with a registration number GN 2060 – 18.
Those who were injured were transported to Kibi government hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, Police have commenced investigations into the cause of the accident.
