Shatta Wale and Mona4Reall
Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has described as evil spirits, Ghanaians who jubilate when someone is arrested.
His comment comes in the wake of a huge public discussion about the arrest of Mona Faiz Montrage otherwise known as Mona4Reall or Hajia4real and her subsequent extradition to the USA.
Mona who joined Ghana’s music industry a few years ago rose to fame as a socialite and Instagram influencer.
She was arrested in the UK on November 10 over fraud allegations when she attended the 2023 edition of Ghana Music Award UK.
The US Department of Justice on Monday, May 15, 2023, announced that Mona has been extradited to the US and has been indicted for fraud.
According to the US Department of Justice, Mona was arrested in connection with a series of romance scams and money laundering between 2013 and 2019.
She is said to have received payments amounting to over $2 million from her victims – older and lonely Americans through the collaboration of a criminal enterprise operating in the West Africa area.
Shatta Wale who identifies Mona4Reall as his godmother is one of the personalities expected to comment on Mona’s case.
In a tweet on Tuesday, he didn’t mention Mona’s name or her arrest specifically,
He wrote; “Dem arrest somebody You happy… Ghana evil spirit.”
This is to say Ghanaians who are happy over the arrest of a certain individual are possessed by evil spirits.
