Enock Agyin Afram, an event planner and artiste manager, couldn’t believe it when some of his friends living in Dubai welcomed him with a large bouquet on August 22.
He had in fact promised Ghanaians that he intended to travel to Dubai for vacation and to hunt for business prospects. The manager has had a successful first quarter of this year.
Enock Agyin Afram made sure his trip to Dubai was nothing short of extraordinary by traveling with his girlfriend, Rebecca Durowaa Owusu.
He expressed his extreme joy and satisfaction at being treated like a king after being surprised by the kind welcome he received at the Dubai when he was met by some pals.
He mentioned that he had plans to stage a musical concert in the Dubai Desert very soon and that he was currently in talks with certain Dubai-based organizations about partnering on the event.
The conversation about the future of tourism, entertainment, Ghanaians abroad, and exchange programs was fascinating.
He claims that the goal of the musical event is to promote Ghanaian culture through music, entertainment, fashion, art, and cuisine.
Both Ghanaian and Dubai-based musicians will play at the event.
He claimed that if Ghana imitated Dubai’s technique for drawing tourists to Dubai, a lot of money might be made from the travel industry.
The artiste manager recounted his experience: “Dubai is intentional about tourism. They have created a lot of activities on the dessert that will make it memorable for any visitor. The dune dessert safari ride, the camel ride is some activities that have been structured to take money from visitors on the dessert.”
