On Wednesday, the NPP-USA Branch Director of Research & Elections, Bright Gyimah “Levels,” announced the results of their internal polls to determine the allocation of NPP-USA’s presidential delegate votes.
According to the report, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was the clear winner with 208 votes, representing 77.04% of the votes cast. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong followed with 60 votes (22.22%), while Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto and Francis Addai Nimoh each secured 1 vote, representing 0.37% each.
Active participation saw 270 of the 411 eligible members casting their votes.
In adherence to their ‘winner-take-all’ policy, NPP-USA declares that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will be the recipient of the complete endorsement of NPP-USA’s 12 delegate votes in the upcoming elections on November 4, 2023. As stipulated in Article 13 of the NPP USA bylaws, delegates are mandated to cast their votes accordingly.
The branch also restated their commitment to endorsing and supporting the candidate who triumphs on November 4, and called for unity in contributing positively to their party’s success and the forward march of Ghana.
