Ara-B, a self-acclaimed Ghanaian Dancehall Prince, attacked Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak for her comments about the lack of support from some big names in the music industry during her Guinness World Records (GWR) cook-a-thon attempt in Tamale.
In an interview with Joy Prime, Chef Faila shared that she was very disappointed at Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, and Samini for not gracing her cook-a-thon with their appearance as they have die-hard fans in the Northern Region who over the years have been supporting their music and crafts.
“If it was something bad about the North, everyone would have been talking about it. Not a single big musician showed up for the North on this project. Not Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Samini, etc.”
“It was Kwabena Kwabena who passed through. There were a lot of expectations that we were going to see some of the artists we support so much from this angle show up and support us.
“Believe me, if I hear Stonebwoy or Shatta Wale’s song, I can sing it to amaze you, but nobody showed up for us, and so they owe us an apology.” Chef Faila lamented, responding to a fan’s concern about Shatta Wale’s inability to pass through as promised.
Ara-B, who responded to the video clip shared on social media, called out Chef Faila urging her to be grateful for the much support she enjoyed during her attempt.
“Learn to appreciate oo you are a chef. Asantewaa came to sing lol at least you got the attention and love plus the record you needed…. or it was mainly about who came and who didn’t?
“My sister, u (you) dey Tamale, are the artist coming to cook or cut your vegetables for you?… Appreciate the love u have cuz (because) these artists also have a lot on their neck….Did u show up at any of their shows to support lol….In fact you are a chef and Asantewaa came to sing. Totally two different things…. Plus ACCRA not be Temale,” he wrote.
