NPP Executives Sacked Over NDC

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Wurishie Electoral Area Women’s Organizer, Abdallah Murijana, and Electoral Area Chairman for Wurishie Mohammed Osman, in the Sagnarigu Constituency have been sacked by the party.

The two, under suspension, were sacked for campaigning for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Sagnarigu Constituency, Attah Issah.

According to a statement by the NPP Sagnarigu Constituency Secretary, the two were seen in the accompany of the NDC parliamentary candidate campaigning against the party (NPP).

The statement by the party further stated that despite their suspension, the two continued to flagrantly breach the party’s constitution, particularly Articles (4) and (7) (a), (e), (f), and (g).

“In line with Article 3(9) (1) of the NPP Constitution, it provides as follows:

“A member of the party who stands as an independent candidate against the officially elected member of the party, or who joins or declares his or her support for another political party, or for an independent candidate, when the party has sponsored a candidate in a general or by-election, automatically forfeits his or her membership in the party.

In regards to these constitutional provisions, it is the view that Mohammed Osman and Abdallah Murjana have automatically forfeited their membership in the party. Therefore, they are no longer members of the party,” it said.

The Sagnarigu Constituency Secretary of the NPP urged all NPP fraternities to remove the two from all NPP social media platforms.

Miss Abdallah Murijana, was seen in a viral video on social media campaigning for the NDC parliamentary candidate for the Sagnarigu constituency, Attah Issah.

Both were again seen wearing the “24 Hour Economy “ policy T-shirt by the (NDC) and declared their defection from the NPP.

Miss Abdallah Murijana has been one of the lead communicators for the NPP in the Sagnarigu constituency before her defection to the NDC.
