Stonebwoy
Celebrated dancehall artiste, Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy, last Saturday staged a brilliant performance to entertain music fans at this year’s edition of the Reggae Geel Festival in Belgium.
Thousands of music fans graced the event, where Stonebwoy gave dynamic live performances that had the audience singing and dancing together.
Stonebwoy, who mounted the stage after music fans had witnessed performances from some of the artistes on the bill, was consistent and controlled the crowd.
He thrilled fans with most of his hit songs including ‘Ekelebe’, ‘Your Body’, ‘Activate’, among others, creating a distinctive atmosphere and solidifying his position as one of the leading voices in the reggae scene from Africa.
The peak of his performance was when he sang a rendition of the late Bob Marley’s ‘Buffalo Soldier’ hit song.
It was amazing how the dancehall artiste connected with the thousands of fans at the event, as they kept screaming for more after his performance on stage.
The mood at the venue became electric as the crowd sang along to every word, creating an unforgettable scene.
After his performance, legendary Jamaican reggae and dancehall icon, Luciano lauded Stonebwoy for his consistency in pushing the dancehall culture, and expressed his interest in collaborating with him. “You are hard working. I love your works, I want us to work on collaboration,” he said.
Stonebwoy’s musical prowess continues to garner global acclaim, evidenced by his recent dominance at the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards, where he scooped up seven prestigious awards, including Artiste of the Year.
