Bawumia Is Not Corrupt – Napo

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh aka Napo, has stated that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP presidential candidate, is not corrupt.

He further indicated that political power cannot corrupt the Vice President, stressing the need for the citizenry to vote massively for Dr. Bawumia.

“Dr. Bawumia is not corrupt. In his public life he has not been accused of corruption,” he stated, stressing that, “In his public life he has not been investigated for corruption.”

Speaking at the NPP 2024 Manifesto Launch at Takoradi in the Western Region yesterday, Dr. Opoku Prempeh said Dr. Bawumia cannot be corrupted by political power.

“Dr. Bawumia will never be corrupted by political power,” Napo boldly declared, which attracted wild and spontaneous applause from the crowd.

Sure Victory

Sounding very optimistic, Napo asserted that Dr. Bawumia would be elected as the next president of Ghana on December 7 to succeed President Nana Akufo-Addo.

“For those who have skeletons in their cupboards and are seeking political power, Dr. Bawumia will win the December 7 election,” Napo prophesied, attracting applause.

“We have an election to win and we shall win because with God, it’s possible,” the NPP running mate said, adding that Dr. Bawumia is the right man to lead the country now.

“I’m sure and certain that Dr. Bawumia is the honourable and competent man to continue from where President Akufo-Addo is leaving on January 7, 2025,” he remarked.

Akufo-Addo’s Best Legacy

Napo said handing over political power to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, on January 7, 2025, would be the best legacy of President Akufo-Addo.

“President Akufo-Addo’s best legacy will be to hand over political power to Dr. Bawumia, his Vice President,” he said, stressing, “Dr. Bawumia is destined to take Ghana to the next level.”

According to him, President Akufo-Addo’s outstanding performance in political office, notably the free Senior High School (SHS) policy, has put his detractors to shame.

Praises Bawumia

Napo also saluted his boss, Dr. Bawumia, whom he described as a humble, affable, honest, and a problem solver, who would lead the country to the Promised Land.

Pledges Loyalty to Bawumia

Napo stated emphatically that he is ever ready to serve and support Dr. Bawumia, to ensure that he becomes the next president.

“Dr. Bawumia is the man of the moment and I’m committed to serving him loyally for him to realise his vision of a brighter and business-friendly Ghana,” Napo promised.

Together with Dr. Bawumia, Napo said, “We shall work and work as President and Vice President to deliver a better Ghana where there would be more jobs for the citizenry.”

Massive Political Campaign

He, therefore, urged the NPP members to start vigorous campaign to win more votes, so that the NPP would record a landslide victory on December 7 and stay in power.

“We shall go from house to house, village to village and market to market to campaign for Dr. Bawumia and all NPP parliamentary candidates to win the election,” he noted.
