The Ghana Education Service (GES) has released a statement outlining the schedule for the 2024 school selection process.
The exercise is set to commence on Wednesday, August 28, and will run until Wednesday, September 4, 2024.
According to the statement, parents and guardians are urged to take an active interest in the selection process to ensure a seamless placement experience for their children.
Additionally, candidates will have the opportunity to confirm their school choices via a short code text message before the actual placement is finalized.
The GES has assured that officials from the Headquarters will be observing the selection exercise nationwide to ensure its smooth execution.
Regional Directors of Education have been tasked with communicating this vital information to Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Directors of Education, Examination Officers, and other stakeholders within their jurisdictions.
This announcement comes as the GES aims to streamline the school selection process, making it more accessible and transparent for all parties involved.
By doing so, the Service hopes to alleviate some of the challenges associated with the placement process, ensuring that students are allocated to schools that best suit their needs.
