Kasoa Gets New Police HQ

Kasoa, once a thriving commercial hub in the Central Region has in recent years become a hotbed of criminal activity, posing a significant threat to national security.

In response to this growing concern, the Akufo-Addo-led government has undertaken a critical project to enhance security in the region.

On Monday, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Chairman of the Police Council, commissioned a new police headquarters building for the Central East Regional Command in Kasoa.

The commissioning of the project, which coincided with Dr. Bawumia’s campaign tour of the Awutu Senya East Constituency, marks a significant milestone in the government’s efforts to combat rising crime in the region.

Kasoa’s strategic location, situated along the Accra-Cape Coast highway, has made it a hub for commercial and economic activities.

However, this growth has also attracted criminal elements, making it a focal point for security concerns.

The new police headquarters building is designed to address these concerns head-on.

Equipped with modern facilities and cutting-edge technology, the building will serve as a nerve center for police operations in the region, enabling swift response times and effective coordination of security efforts.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Dr. Bawumia emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all Ghanaians.

The project is part of a broader effort by the Akufo-Addo-led government to upgrade police infrastructure nationwide.

With several other regions set to benefit from similar initiatives, the government is demonstrating its resolve to enhance security and maintain law and order.

The commissioning of the new regional police headquarters building in Kasoa has been welcomed by residents and businesses in the region, who have long advocated for improved security measures.
