Police Place GHC50K Ransom On Wanted Suspect For Threatening Public Officials

 

The Ghana Police Service has declared a suspect wanted for threatening to harm and shoot some public officials in a viral video.

The suspect, who identified himself as Kanawu, made the threats in a video that has been widely shared on social media.

According to the police, Kanawu’s threats were directed at specific public officials, and he also threatened to harm anyone who stood in his way.

The police have condemned the threats and have launched an investigation into the matter.

A reward of Fifty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢ 50,000.00) has been offered to anyone who can provide relevant and credible information that will lead to the arrest of the suspect.

In a statement, the Police are urging the public to come forward with any information they may have about Kanawu’s whereabouts.

This is not the first time that public officials have been threatened in Ghana.

In recent years, there have been several instances of public officials being threatened or attacked by individuals or groups.

The police are taking Kanawu’s threats seriously and are working to apprehend him as soon as possible

However they are urging anyone with information about Kanawu’s whereabouts to come forward and assist in the investigation.

The incident has sparked concerns about the safety and security of public officials in Ghana.
