Musician, Martin King Arthur, popularly known as Kofi Kinaata, has made a strong appeal to Ghanaians to promote and support Made-In-Ghana products to foster the growth of local businesses and contribute to the nation’s economic development.

The award-winning artiste voiced his advocacy at the recent launch of “My Ghana Town,” a one-stop shop for high-quality Ghanaian-made goods, in Accra.

Kofi Kinaata praised the creativity and innovation behind the packaging of the products, highlighting their importance in Ghana’s industrialisation efforts.

He emphasised that supporting local products would boost the economy and create jobs across the value chain, from suppliers to designers and other professionals.

“We need to always promote and patronise Made-In-Ghana products to keep our entrepreneurs in operation. This will boost the local economy and provide employment,” he said.

Kinaata, who has long promoted Made-In-Ghana products through his music, expressed his commitment to continuing this advocacy and hinted at plans for a nationwide campaign to encourage Ghanaians to buy local goods.

The newly launched “My Ghana Town” store is located in Labone, Accra, and offers a variety of Ghanaian-made products, including food, textiles, apparel, and beauty-care items. A second branch is set to open in the central business district soon.
