CAMA Donates Teaching, Learning Materials To Kpadjai JHS

CAMFED Association (CAMA), an alumini group of young women who have received educational support from CAMFED, has donated teaching and learning items worth GH¢8,269 to Kpadjai No.1 R/C Junior High School (JHS) in the Kpandai District of Northern Region.

The donated items are 400 exercise books, 86 Note books, 86 mathematical sets, 350 pens, 86 graph books, 200 sanitary pad and 24 boxes of chalk.

The donation by CAMA forms part of activities in commemoration of the 2024 International Day of the Girl Child under the theme, ‘Girls Vision for the Future’.

The National Director of CAMFED Ghana, Fairuza Abdul-Rashid Safian, at a short ceremony stated that the organisation remained positive and committed to supporting vulnerable girls in schools in deprived communities.

According to her, CAMA is giving back to society to touch the lives of other people in communities like Kpadjai.

Madam Safian noted that CAMFED extend its scope in rural communities in supporting the girl child to progress in life.

She was optimistic that the donation will encourage the students to stay in school and thrive, and advised the young girls to take their education serious to ensure that they excel in their academics.

The queen mother of the Kpadjai Traditional Area, Nana Akua Kanyitey ll, on behalf of the chief, Nana Obomoeyi Busungyi II and the elders of Kpadjai, expressed gratitude and appreciation to the association for choosing their community to support girl child education.

“Your mission and vision of ensuring the welfare of the girl child as a non-governmental organiaation is laudable and appreciable.”

The Assistant Head Teacher of the Kpadjai No.1 R/C JHS, Ntiamoah Richard, expressed gratitude to CAMFED and appealed to the organisation to help them with a computer and white marker board to enhance teaching and learning in the school.
