Bawumia Unveils Comprehensive Plan To Transform Ghana

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President and Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has unveiled a sweeping plan to transform Ghana, aiming to make life easier for citizens.

During his campaign tour of the Volta Region, Bawumia outlined a vision for a Ghana where life essentials are easily accessible, mirroring developed countries.

“I’m aiming to make life easier for Ghanaians if elected as President,” Bawumia emphasized.

Credit Score System: A Game-Changer

Dr Bawumia highlighted the Credit Score System as a transformative policy to bring Ghanaians at par with those in developed countries.

“For the last two years, we have been working on putting together the credit score system for Ghana. My thinking was that next year we will finish. But by the grace of God, I am happy to say we have completed the work for the credit system to start.”

Harnessing Solar Energy

Dr Bawumia aims to reduce electricity costs by harnessing solar energy to augment Ghana’s power production capacity.

He noted, “We will set up a factory in Ghana to produce solar panels, creating jobs and building industrial capacity.”

Empowering Women Traders

Dr Bawumia’s proposed Women Trade Empowerment Fund will provide soft loans to women traders, empowering them to expand their businesses.

“The only requirement to obtain a loan will be a Ghana Card.”

Agricultural Development

Dr Bawumia plans to replicate the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) module in agriculture, stationing farm equipment in every district for local farmers.

Additionally, the Volta River will be mechanized and channeled to irrigate farms, enhancing crop production.

Strengthening Traditional Leadership

Dr Bawumia seeks to empower Chiefs to adjudicate on local issues, reducing the need for law courts.

He said Queen Mothers, Divisional Chiefs, and Paramount Chiefs will receive living allowances to enhance their livelihoods.

Call to Action

Dr. Bawumia urged the Chiefs and people of the Ho Central Constituency to grant him the mandate to deliver his policies and programs, elevating Ghana to the status of developed countries.
