GJA General Secretary Donates To Accra Rehab Centre

The Accra Rehabilitation Centre (ARC), a vital institution providing vocational training for persons with disabilities (PWDs), has received a generous donation from Kofi Yeboah, General Secretary of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA).

Kofi Yeboah presented a freezer, clothes, and sanitary pads to the Centre, emphasizing the need for continued support.

The GJA Secretary’s donation was inspired by his fieldwork at the ARC during his Master of Laws (LLM) program in Human Rights Law and Practice at the University of Ghana.

“This donation is part of my humanitarian service project, ‘Turntable & Tenable,’ aimed at supporting the underprivileged,” Kofi Yeboah explained.

“Today being my birthday, I chose to celebrate with the ARC.” He appealed to Corporate Ghana and individuals to provide food, household items, personal effects, and facilities for ICT and hairdressing training.

ARC Centre Manager Seth Dzidzornu praised Yeboah’s selflessness and kindness.
“We’re grateful for this donation and optimistic about continued support.”

Assistant Centre Manager Nina Okorafor expressed gratitude, promising to utilize the items to enhance the Centre’s purpose.

The ARC provides vital training for PWDs, empowering them to earn a living.

However, it faces challenges in providing essential items and facilities.

Yeboah’s donation and call to action highlight the importance of supporting such institutions.
