Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia paying homage to Nana Odam Gyamfi III
The Paramount Chief of Asukawkaw Traditional Area in the Oti Region, Nana Odam Gyamfi III, has showed real love and appreciation to Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for the significant role he has played in the country’s development process.
This was when Dr. Bawumia who is the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate for the upcoming December 7 general election met key stakeholders at Tokuroano in the Krachi East Constituency of the Oti Region as part of elections campaign tour.
Speaking at a stakeholder’s engagement forum, Nana Odam Gyamfi III, who could not help touting the achievements of the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia-led NPP government said, “the people of Krachi East are also extremely grateful to the Akufo-Addo and Bawumia administration for the initiation and commissioning of projects such as the high court with residential facilities, regional police command, and Youth Employment Agency.”
“Under your pioneering leadership, the people of Oti Region and Ghana as a whole are enjoying 24-hours banking services, we can also obtain National Health Insurance cards and use same from the comfort of our homes, farms and offices.
Indeed, citizens of our beloved country Ghana can now access numerous services through mobile phones under your landmark digitalisation agenda”, he said to a loud applause and cheering from the over-excited crowd.
Apart from that, the chief said, “the implementation of bold and transformative policies by the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration such as the audacious Free SHS policy, the life-saving medical drone delivery services, Agenda 111 hospitals and the numerous infrastructural developments nationwide are available for all who care to appreciate.”
It is for these and other reasons that he noted with emphasis “your Excellency, Krachi East constituency owe you the greatest of gratitude.”
Nana Odam Gyamfi III also pointed out that throughout their almost eight years in office nowhere has Dr. Bawumia been cited for corruption.
He, thus, described the NPP Flagbearer as credible, a honest leader with integrity, saying “your love for all manner of persons without discrimination based on age, gender, ability, disability, tribal or religious segregation is exemplary” whilst noting with emphasis “we Nananom of Krachi East are therefore of the firm belief that Ghanaians will reward your sterling qualities, credibility, delivery, humility and excellent human relations by affirming you as the next President of the Republic of Ghana on December 7, 2024.”
He recalled that it was under the NPP administration of J.A Kufuor that Krachi East became both a constituency and an administration district capital.
He said the sword cutting ceremony for the commencement of first class road from Asukawkaw to Dambai was under the reign of former President Kufuor.
The continuation of the road and the extension to Kpandai, he said were also undertaken by President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia administration.
He also could not help thanking President Akufo-Addo and his government for the creation of the Oti Region.
