THE OPPOSITION National Democratic Congress (NDC) is planning to cause mayhem to disrupt the December 7 elections, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) guru has alleged.

According to NPP Manhyia South Constituency Chairman, Richard Adjei Mensah Ofori-Atta, said there are clear signs on the wall that suggests the NDC would resort to violence on the election day.

According to him, whilst the NPP is campaigning vigorously across the 275 constituencies to win votes, the NDC, especially their flagbearer, John Mahama, is virtually doing nothing.

He said anytime that the NDC resorted to “lazy campaign” tactics ahead of elections, they (NDC) later on used violence to win the polls and he is expecting same to happen this year.

“The NPP is vigorously pursuing a four-prong campaign strategy featuring the presidential candidate, Dr, Bawumia, Napo, and their wives, Samira Bawumia and Alma Pokua Opoku Prempeh.

“As we can all see, the NDC has not been campaigning and we must be watchful of this tactic since they seek to use it to execute their plans, notably the snatching of ballot boxes,” he alleged.

Ofori-Atta aka ‘Tomtom’, who was speaking on Angel FM in Accra, entreated the NPP members, especially in the various constituencies, to be vigilant and foil every NDC tactics.

“I know them (NDC). They have seen electoral defeat starring them in the face and they will definitely try to use diabolical tactics on the day of elections to make an impact in the polls.

He said John Mahama and his running mate have nothing to campaign about to win votes, hence their lack of campaigning, saying “the NDC will surely use violence on December 7”.

According to the Manhyia South NPP Chairman, he believes that the security agencies would rise up to the occasion but said “it’s important that NPP members also stayed alert at all times”.
