Dr Mahamudu Bawumia
The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, will start a campaign tour in the Ashanti Region today.
Close sources of the NPP presidential candidate have disclosed to DAILY GUIDE that the intensive campaign tour will last for 15 days.
According to them, Dr. Bawumia will visit most of the 47 constituencies in the Ashanti Region to help spread his message of hope to the electorates.
Dr. Bawumia, who is also the Vice President, for some months now has been touring the country and attracting votes with his message.
His visit to the Ashanti Region, the NPP’s stronghold, would definitely boost his presidential ambition as the party attracts more votes in the region.
DAILY GUIDE gathered that the NPP members and sympathisers in the Ashanti Region are ready to give a rousing welcome to their party leader.
Meanwhile, Dr. Bawumia’s running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh aka ‘Napo’, is also currently campaigning vigorously in the Bono Region to win votes.
Some political connoisseurs in the country have described the NPP’s campaign strategy as very effective, as it can help the party win the December 7 polls.
