The Chief of Bipoa, in the Afigya Sekyere East Constituency of the Ashanti Region, Nana Gyapa Ameyaw, has stressed the need for all well-meaning Ghanaians to not just support, but vote for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming general election.

He says Dr. Bawumia has indeed shown that he is capable of leading Ghana on the path of development.

This, he said, was evident in the several policy initiatives he has led in his position as Vice President.

This was during a stakeholder’s forum held at Agona as part of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate in the upcoming December 7 general election, Dr. Bawumia’s campaign in the Ashanti Region.

Speaking at the forum, Nana Gyapa Ameyaw, who was standing in for the Agonahene said, “Anyone who has followed or listened to Dr. Bawumia carefully from his days in opposition till today will attest to the fact that he is full of ideas, and this is the kind of man Ghana needs to lead the country.”

That, he said, was evident in the fact that all the initiatives he has implemented have turned out to be transformative, and improved human lives and service delivery.

He, therefore, made a clarion call for Ghanaians to give Dr. Bawumia a chance to lead the country, with a charge for him not to renege on his promises when he gets the opportunity to govern the country.

Present was Wiamoasehene, Nana Boakye Yiadom.

Dr. Bawumia thanked the Bipoahene for the trust and confidence he had in him. He promised not to let him and Ghanaians down.

From Agona, Dr. Bawumia and members of his campaign team moved straight to Wiamoase, where a mammoth crowd had gathered at the main lorry station awaiting his arrival to address them at the ‘Youth Connect’ programme.

The entire Wiamoase went haywire when Dr. Bawumia and his team got there, dancing to blurring music from a public address system that had been mounted on the stage.

It was there that incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for Afigya Sekyere East, Mavis Nkansah-Boadu, assured the people of her continued commitment to represent and protect their interest.

She, therefore, urged them to continue supporting her and the NPP, to deliver the much needed development for the country.
