THE 9th edition of the EMY Africa Awards will witness seasoned performances from Ghana’s Rebecca Acheampong, Known as Becca, Nigerian Afrobeat Sensation, Chike, and Lynx entertainment signee, KiDi, on the night.
Set to kick-start on November 24, 2024 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC), Grand Arena, these celebrated music stars are expected to thrill guests and patrons on the night with their hit songs.
Speaking in an interview with DAILY GUIDE, founder and Executive Director of EMY Africa, Kojo Soboh, stated that the selected artistes who have great music track records were approved by the awarding board to perform on the night.
“Undoubtedly, these music stars are masters in their rights and their artistry has been hailed by many across the globe. Take Becca for instance, she’s one the most celebrated female artistes from Ghana. Her music resonates with everybody, which makes her distinct among her peers,” he said.
Kojo Soboh further indicated in the case of Chike and Kidi, “Our female guests should expect nothing short of fun and excitement as the guys know how to treat them well with good music.”
He was optimistic that with the level of arrangements and preparations made for this year’s EMY Africa Awards, the event will be an upgrade of the 8th edition.
The EMY Awards is recognised continentally as a prestigious awards ceremony for men. Across Africa, EMY Africa celebrates distinguished men every year.
Since 2016, EMY Africa has celebrated the best in men’s achievements across the local industry, community, culture, and public service.
Dozens of men from all ages and walks of life have been honoured for their abilities, initiatives, and contributions to society.
