The Ministry of National Security (MoNS) has denied any involvement in the alleged kidnapping of Sylvia Baah, the manager of Emirates Airlines at the Kotoka International Airport.
This comes after The Herald newspaper published a report claiming that officers from the ministry and the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) were responsible for the abduction.
According to a statement issued by the ministry, no officer from the ministry or the NIB was involved in the alleged abduction.
The statement indicated that the ministry had initiated investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident and assured the public that those found culpable will face the full force of the law.
Meanwhile, the police have also issued a statement expressing gratitude to individuals who provided valuable information during the rescue operation and to the public for their cooperation and support.
