Akufo-Addo Bids Farewell To Eastern Region

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is set to embark on a two-day farewell tour of the Eastern Region, commencing on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.

This tour marks a significant milestone in Akufo-Addo’s presidency, as he prepares to conclude his eight-year term and campaign for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate.

The President’s itinerary includes a durbar of chiefs, Islamic clerics, clergy, Zongo chiefs, and other stakeholders at the Kwahu Mpraeso Social Center.

He will also commission the Akim Oda Central Market and engage in a durbar with the people of Akyem Abuakwa at the Forecourt of the Ofori Panin Fie.

On the second day of his tour, the President will attend a durbar with the people of New Juaben at Jackson Park in Koforidua.

He will also have a lunch encounter with former NPP constituency Executives in the Region at the Residency in Koforidua.

The President’s farewell tour is seen as an opportunity for him to express his gratitude to the people of the Eastern Region for their support during his presidency.

It is also a chance for him to showcase the achievements of his administration in the region as well as rally support for his Vice President, now the Presidential Candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia by urging the residents to vote for him on 7th December.

The Eastern Region is significant to Akufo-Addo, as it is his home region.

The region has benefited from several development projects initiated by the Akufo-Addo administration, including the construction of roads, schools, and healthcare facilities.

President Akufo-Addo is expected to highlight the achievements of his administration and encourage the people of the Region.
