Police Arrest NDC Youth Organiser, Son

The police at Atwima Foase in the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency of the Ashanti Region have arrested the constituency youth organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and his son after they were caught possessing 76 already thumb-printed ballot papers.

The suspects, Charles Fokuo, 44, (Constituency Youth Organiser) and Kwaku Fokuo, a Senior High School (SHS) Form 1 student, were caught by the residents at the Methodist Primary polling station, F160301, at Atwima Foase.

They have now been taken to the police station at Atwima Foase for interrogation while the exhibits have been confiscated by the police.

According to some residents who spoke to the Daily Guide Online, they became suspicious of the movements and actions of the suspects and decided to approach them.

“We were watching them from afar, and we became suspicious of them. When we approached them, we saw 76 presidential ballot papers that have been thumb-printed for John Dramani Mahama, the NDC presidential candidate,” one resident said.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Kofi Amankwa-Manu, the Parliamentary Candidate for the area, he cautioned the citizenry to be vigilant of the diabolical tactics of their main opponent, the NDC.

The Atwima Kwanwoma Member of Parliament (MP), who doubles as the Deputy Defence Minister, was saddened about the incident and said he was worried that it happened in his jurisdiction.

“We received this information months ago about the bad schemes of the NDC in this jurisdiction. I am not surprised they have started this,” he said.
