Uncle of the deceased teenage boy – Shaibu Haruna-, a victim of the December 7 general election related shooting incident at Nyankpala in the Northern region has indicated that the family would never forgive the suspects who engaged in the act.
Haruna’s uncle, Mohammed Abu, has threatened to ensure the perpetrators are brought to book.
He said, “We will never forgive the killers of our son until the end of time, no amount of money can bring back our son and nobody can convince us to forgive the killers.”
Mr. Abu called on the Ghana Police to ensure that the family gets justice and ensure that the perpetrators are prosecuted for their crime.
He made this known during the burial of the deceased Shaibu Haruna who was laid to rest at Nyankpala.
During the December 7 elections, tensions between supporters of the two major political parties escalated, leading to chaos and an exchange of gunfire which resulted in one dead and two injuries.
The victims who sustained injuries were taken to the hospital for medical treatment while the deceased was transported to the morgue for preservation and autopsy.
So far about 10 persons have been arrested and assisting in police investigations in connection with the election related shooting incident at Nyankpala in the Northern region.
