Richard Kafui Amanfu
The Institute of ICT Professionals Ghana (IIPGH) has announced the appointment of Richard Kafui Amanfu as its new Executive Director. This significant leadership change follows the successful tenure of David Gowu, who served as co-founder and first Executive Director for eight years. Richard Kafui Amanfu, with his extensive experience and dedication to ICT development, is poised to lead IIPGH into a new era of innovation and growth.
Richard Kafui Amanfu is a seasoned technology consultant with over 16 years of experience in the ICT and telecommunications industry. His career spans various technical and management positions within the West African market, showcasing his versatility and expertise in the field.
Mr. Amanfu’s journey with IIPGH has been marked by numerous achievements and impactful initiatives since 2017 when he joined some of the founding members to set up the organization.
His contributions have been instrumental in advancing the Institute’s mission of promoting ICT education and professional development across Ghana.
As the Director of Operations, he played an active role in the launch of several capacity-building programs aimed at equipping professionals, students, and businesses with essential ICT skills.
As the new Executive Director, Richard Kafui Amanfu is committed to building on the solid foundation laid by his predecessor. He envisions a future where IIPGH continues to be at the forefront of ICT innovation and education in Ghana as it expands its reach through the introduction of new programs and strengthen partnerships with local and international stakeholders. His vision includes leveraging emerging technologies to drive economic growth and improve the quality of life for all Ghanaians.
Richard’s dedication, vision, and leadership will undoubtedly steer IIPGH towards new heights, ensuring that the Institute remains a key player in Ghana’s digital transformation journey.

This year, IIPGH celebrates its 8th anniversary under the theme: Transforming lives through ICT: 8 years of impact and inspiration.
The celebration is scheduled for March 7 at the IIPGH Office, Oksart Place, 2nd Floor, Ring Road Central, Kwame Nkrumah Avenue, Accra at 10am.
